We invite you to a motorcycle trip through Northern Thailand. The route is paved/asphalted, we rent motorcycles from local rental companies, the weather in Thailand in winter is + 25-30 degrees, warm and more than comfortable. 8 driving days, 1 day of rest and 2 days of arrival / departure. Tour start/finish from Chiang Mai (Northern Thailand, short flight from Bangkok).

Route: where we will go

Chiang Mai – Mae Chaem – Yunnan – Elephant Park – Thaton – Chiang Rai – Phu Langka – Ban Huat

Day 1. Chiang Mai, arrival

Arrival in Chiang Mai, independent transfer to the hotel. Briefing on the tour, signing documents, receiving and checking motorcycles, then a short walk around the city and a general dinner at a restaurant. Optional visit to the Night Bazaar.

Day 2. Chiang Mai - Mae Chaem, 140 km

In the morning we drive to Doi Ithanon National Park, where the highest point in Thailand is located. The road will pass by waterfalls, winding through the mountains, overgrown with jungle. We will stay overnight in the town of Mae Chaem.

Day 3. Mae Chaem - Yunnan, 225 km

From Mae Chaem we will turn north and through the picturesque mountains along serpentines we will reach the city of Mae Khon Son. On the way, we will stop at waterfalls and observation platforms. We will spend the night in the Chinese village of Yunnan on the very border with Myanmar. With its own tea plantation overlooking the lake, the hotel is a great place for a good evening.

Day 4. Yunnan - Elephant Park, 250 km

In the morning we will admire the fog on the lake and, after having breakfast, we will set off. On this day, we will drive along a very interesting road, where there are 762 sharp turns for about 80 kilometers. There are many natural and cultural attractions along this road, such as Long Neck Women's Village, waterfalls, fish cave, the popular town of Pai, and more. But the road itself with serpentines and passes is breathtaking. For the night we will stop at the Natural Elephant Park.

Day 5. Elephant Park - Thaton, 290 km

In the morning we go to visit the elephants, then we will reach the Chiang Dao cave and, accompanied by a guide, we will walk along it. After the cave, we will drive along the mountainous terrain by local roads. We will stop for the night in the small town of Thaton.

Day 6. Thaton, rest day

Today we have a day of rest. After sleeping and having a delicious breakfast, we will go on a river boat trip, and then just relax with a glass of some exotic cocktail.

Day 7. Thaton - Chiang Rai, 225 km

On this day, we will continue our way through the mountains, through Thai villages and towns up to the border with Myanmar and Laos and find ourselves in the famous Golden Triangle (the junction of the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos), where we will visit the Opium Museum, and it is here that we will see the Mekong - one of the most famous rivers in Southeast Asia. We will stop for the night in the large city of Chiang Rai, visiting very interesting museums and temples along the way.

Day 8. Chiang Rai - Phu Langka, 180 km

In the morning we will walk along Ching Rai, and then we will stop by the famous White Temple. Then we will move east to the province of Phayao, where we will stop in a small village from which a wonderful view of the plain opens.

Day 9. Phu Langka - Ban Huat, 280 km

On this day, we will begin the return to Chiang Mai, to our starting point. The path will lie through national parks, where we will be able to see various natural attractions.

Day 10. Ban Huat - Chiang Mai, 185 km

This is the last day of our motorcycle trip, and it will also be very eventful. We will visit the Emerald Lake and drive through the mountains to Chiang Mai. We will rent motorcycles and arrange a festive dinner in honor of the end of our trip.
