The active phase of the motorcycle season 2025 in Russia is coming to an end, and it`s time for reports now. We did a lot of tours this season and since the end of winter had no time to write ride reports. But now, hopefully, we can share with you some stories about how it was. And what our plans for next year are.
To begin with, we would like to tell you about four tours to Sakhalin Island that we did this summer. It was our old idea, and we actually already did tours to Sakhalin in 2022, but there was a pause for several years when we were mostly focused on Central Asia (Pamir tours) during the summer. After doing many Pamir tours during the last years, we decided in 2025 to focus on Russia`s Far East, Sakhalin and Magadan.
We gathered four groups for Sakhalin and two for Magadan, and everything went perfectly well. We will write about Magadan in another separate post later, today it`s Sakhalin time.
We had exciting rides over Sakhalin Island, enjoyed visiting Aniva Lighthouse, Busse Lake and many other places of interest. All tours are about people, and people were great as always.
These tours can be considered / named gastro tours, as it was an enormous amount of seafood. Crabs, oysters, red caviar, various fish - all this served with Asian noodles and was fabulous.
Roads are 20% gravel. Although they are mostly well paved, the last miles to many places of interest are gravel. Also, we do some riding along the Pacific coast. But all is relatively easy.
We understand that Sakhalin tours are not something of first interest to our international customers, Moscow-Saint-Petersburg, Moscow-Vladivostok or Magadan Road of Bones are more well-known destinations, but still decided to share photos, as they are magnificent.
We will do tours to Sakhalin in 2028 once again, if you are interested save the date!
